• Real World: May 22. Francis I reneges on the Treaty of Madrid and forms the League of Cognac, which includes Milan, Venice, Florence and the Pope.

• Real World: July 24. Milan is captured by Spain.

• Real World: August 29. The Battle of Mohács; Turkish forces under Suleiman I defeat the Hungarians under King Louis II. Louis II dies in retreat; Suleiman captures Buda.
