- Real World: March 9. Vladimir Lenin suffers his third stroke, leaving him bedridden and mute- as a result, he retires as chairman of Soviet Russia.
- Real World: April. The Irish Civil War ends.
- Real World: June 18. Mount Etna erupts, destroying the homes of 60,000 people.
- Real World: July 19. Pancho Villa is assassinated.
