Bes

In Egyptian myth, Bes was a short, bearded, dwarf-like god of pleasure and celebration. His appearance and demeanor is very different from the other gods of the Egyptian pantheon.

Because of his differences from the other Egyptian gods, it is believed by some that Bes was either a foreign import, or a holdover from a more primitive religious system.
