The Transformers comic book was published by Marvel Comics from 1984 to 1991, lasting 80 issues in all. There were also spin-offs and crossover series, and after the Generation 2 toy line was released, Marvel started an ongoing Transformers: Generation 2 series in 1993 which ended after 12 issues.

Connections

G.I. Joe had two major crossovers with the Transformers, as well as some appearances in the Generation 2 comic. Infamously, Transformers #3 guest-starred Spider-Man, but (aside from an appearance by Circuit Breaker in Secret Wars II), Transformers was editorially separated from mainstream Marvel.
