Cerebrates

Cerebrates are a breed of Zerg that usually act as directors of the broods of the Zerg hives, although more specialized Cerebrates can be created. The Cerebrates were subordinate to the Overmind until the entity's destruction. Some became independent, others useless. Cerebrates on Char attempted to form a new Overmind after the original's destruction, but, while they succeeded, they were subdued while still immature.
