The Chatteau Richelieu was Augustus Steranko's imposing mountaintop fortress, perched on a seaside cliff in France. It was destroyed when Zigesfeld fell into a vat of molten gold in the chatteau's foundry, setting off a chain reaction of explosions that blew it up from the inside out.
