Eon was a sentient quasi-physical entity created by Eternity, the Celestial Axis, and Time itself to become the cosmic custodian of the universe; to monitor beings of incredible power that might pose a threat to the universe's existence. Eon also eventually became responsible for nurturing the evolution of sentient life-forms in the universe.
