Lords of the Nine

The Lords of the Nine are the nine archdevil rulers of Baator, each one dominating one layer of that plane. The current nine are different from the original nine- a few members were deposed in an event known as the Reckoning.

- Bel (ruler of Avernus, the first layer)
- Dispater (ruler of Dis, the second layer)
- Mammon (ruler of Minauros, the third layer)
- Fierna (ruler of Phlegethos, the fourth layer- a proxy for her father Belial)
- Levistus (ruler of Stygia, the fifth layer)
- The Hag Countess (ruler of Malbolge, the sixth layer)
- Baalzebul (ruler of Maladomini, the seventh layer)
- Mephistopheles (ruler of Cania, the eighth layer)
- Asmodeus (ruler of Nessus, the ninth and lowest layer, and leader of the Nine)
