The Navy Engineer Power Tower Under Nuclear Energy, also designated NEPTUNE, was a computer intelligence that featured in an episode of ThunderCats.

Overview

NEPTUNE was created thousands of years ago by the Venusian Public Works millions of years ago as part of a space tower with the intention of clearing the spaceways of debris and other navigational hazards. Once created, the station was devoid of organic life except for NEPTUNE itself who created a force field around itself which from the outside appeared as if it was a black hole.

Anything that entered the tower's space was claimed under salvage right and viciously protected them. Furthermore, any travellers that were trapped within the force field was trapped under the watch of NEPTUNE who did not allow anyone to return home. For untold centuries, it began trapping any debris in its vicinity until it was destroyed by Lion'O who was looking for the Sword of Omens.
