Scales (GoBot)

Scales was a Renegade GoBot that featured in an episode of Challenge of the GoBots.

Background

Scales was dispatched with Crasher and Coptur in a raid against a Human and Guardian installation in order to capture an oscilliation rod for Dr. Braxis. After landing in their dropship, Coptur advised Crasher to move quickly as Scales was getting hungry. During the initial attack, Scales revealed himself where he dominated the battlefield and was about to destroy Turbo until the Guardian shot a steel beam on him knocking Scales unconscious. It was noted that he was captured by the Guardians which was a loss for the Renegades.

Scales was a large GoBot that was second only to Zod in terms of size. His secondary mode was that of a large sports car. Like Zod, he did not transform into a Humanoid shape but was a mixture of a machine and robot form with no legs but two arms that opened to form part of his robot form. He was beastial with a dinosaur style face and did not demonstrate any intelligence beyond sheer brutality and monstrous roars.
