Tassadar

Tassadar was the Executor of the Protoss and commander of the carrier Gantrithor. After refusing to exterminate all life on a Zerg-infested planet, including numerous innocent Terrans, he was judged a traitor by the Conclave. He became the target of the Judicator, Aldaris, as well as the new Executor.

Tassadar took his fleet to the Dark Templars, learning much of their ways, as well as learning much about the Overmind and its Cerebrates. He attempted to relay this information to the Conclave, but they refused to listen to a traitor who compounded his crimes by associating with their hated counterparts. Conclave forces soon battled the Dark Templars to capture Tassadar, and he soon turned himself in to end the fighting.

Fenix, another Protoss, freed Tassadar, who helped in a massive assault on the Overmind on Char. Channeling the energies of the Dark Templars into Gantrithor, Tassadar sacrifriced himself and his ship, ramming it into the Overmind and destroying it.
